This Tuesday, July 5, 2022 in Ouagadougou, the Secretary General of the Primature, Abdou-Salam Gamp\u00e9n\u00e9, on behalf of Prime Minister Albert Ou\u00e9draogo, chaired the ceremony to launch the master plan for the 2022-2026 information system and hand over the system of the Prime Minister’s videoconference, by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).<\/span><\/span><\/strong>
<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Increasingly, digital transformation appears to be an accelerator for the development of countries, and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).\u00a0To this end, inclusive digital transformation is part of the 3rd pillar of the Transition Action Plan (PAT 2022-2025), more particularly with the objective of modernizing public administration.\u00a0This is where the partnership between the Primature of Burkina Faso and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) comes in.\u00a0Hence the present launch ceremony of the Prime Minister’s 2022-2026 information system master plan, placed under the theme: \u00ab\u00a0Inclusive digital transformation to accelerate progress towards the achievement of Burkina Faso’s SDGs\u00a0\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Lucie Ou\u00e9draogo, Director of IT Services at the Prime Minister’s Office, this Master Plan will make it possible to ensure the consistency and performance of its entire information system to meet its missions, in the coordination of government action. .\u00a0To this end, it revolves around four (4) strategic objectives.\u00a0Among other things, it is the provision of an information system aligned with the strategy and supporting the missions of the Prime Minister;\u00a0modernization of the information system to ensure efficient management of resources and relevant management of activities;\u00a0the urbanization and securing of the information system to offer quality services supported by reliable and efficient infrastructures;<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>For this, she confided that a total of 74 projects are planned for a maximum budget of approximately 4 billion to be mobilized.\u00a0There is thus a Strategy and business program with 5 projects;\u00a0a governance and organization program with 11 projects;\u00a0a features, applications and data program with 27 projects;\u00a0an infrastructure program with 15 projects;\u00a0a safety program also with 15 projects;\u00a0and an interoperability and pooling program with a project.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Speaking on behalf of the Minister in charge of digital, the Secretary General of the said department, Kizito Traor\u00e9, praised the efforts that have been made to draw up this Master Plan, which according to him consists of a very important element, because indicating the paths to follow.\u00a0However, he hoped that its implementation could be effective, because he said \u00ab\u00a0the biggest challenge remains the mobilization of resources\u00a0\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>And to the Secretary General of the Primature, Abdou-Salam Gamp\u00e9n\u00e9 to express his satisfaction with the methodology used to draft the document. \u201cI appreciate the methodological approach that was adopted for the development of the Master Plan which was presented, in particular the diagnostic analysis which made it possible to highlight the strengths, weaknesses, opportunitiesa nd threats. <\/span>I also notice that this project is very ambitious with 74 projects for 5 years of implementation.\u00a0<\/span>This is also my fear, but I dare to hope that their implementation can be effective\u00a0\u00bb, he said, while thanking all the partners who supported the development of this document, in particular the UNDP, whose the Resident Representative in Burkina Faso, Isabelle Tschan, reaffirmed her commitment to supporting the government in terms of digital transformation.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the launch of the master plan of the Prime Minister’s information system, this ceremony was also the place for the UNDP to provide the actors of the Prime Minister with videoconferencing equipment.<\/span><\/p>\n
